She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 11 years of experience in providing compassionate and effective therapeutic support. She earned her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College in 2014, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies, which deepened her expertise in working with individuals on the spectrum.
Since becoming a licensed clinician in 2018, she has had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including school-based programs, residential treatment, in-home counseling, and outpatient care. She has worked with individuals from the age of 4 and beyond, but her primary focus is on supporting young adults ages 18-35, particularly during the challenges of academic pressures, life transitions, and early adulthood.
Throughout her career, she has worked with clients facing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, relationship struggles, and general life stressors. She also specializes in supporting new mothers and women navigating the unique challenges of life, identity, and balance.
Mariana Saraiva believes in creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore their concerns, deepen their self-awareness, and build practical skills for navigating life’s challenges. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness.
Mariana Saraiva’s greatest passion is helping young adults, especially college students, navigate the complexities of this critical phase in their lives. She finds it an honor to guide individuals as they build resilience, self-compassion, and confidence while making important life decisions.
Outside of work, she’s an avid reader, passionate traveler, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She’s also always exploring new creative hobbies and loves the chance to try something new.
