Lea S. Rojas Otero is a Licensed and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC-I, CADC-II) in the state of Massachusetts. In Florida, she is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC), as well as a Certified Master’s Level Addiction Professional and an Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She has also completed specialized training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP, Level 1).
Lea earned first Master’s Degree in Health Sciences in Substance Abuse Counseling from the Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. In 2025, she completed her second graduate degree, a Master of Arts in Counseling, from Kairos University.
Following graduation in 2016, she was recruited to work in an outpatient clinic in Brockton, Massachusetts. For almost 10 years, she has provided counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults struggling with a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she frequently incorporates Motivational Interviewing techniques to support clients in achieving their goals. Lea’s practice is built on providing a compassionate, open, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to work through the challenges that bring them to therapy. She strongly believes in meeting clients where they are in their journey in order to best guide and support them toward meaningful change.
Lea has experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, substance use, family conflicts, and relationship dynamics. She also supports individuals seeking to strengthen communication skills, develop healthier coping strategies, or problem-solve life stressors. In addition, Lea has worked extensively with minority populations, immigrants, single parents, LGBTQIA+ clients, and individuals from multicultural backgrounds.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Lea is committed to providing accessible and culturally sensitive care. She strives to empower each client toward self-growth, self-love, and the personal improvements they wish to achieve.
